Chasing a target of 129, England started well and were cruising at 110/0 in the 17th over. However, Ravindra Jadeja dismissed both openers, Alastair Cook and Ian Bell, in quick succession, and England collapsed from there. They lost six wickets for just 18 runs, and were eventually bowled out for 124 in the 20th over.

Jadeja was the star performer for India, taking 2/24 in his four overs. He was well supported by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who took 3/30, and Amit Mishra, who took 2/29.

Dhoni praised his team's performance after the match. "We played very well," he said. "The bowlers were excellent, and the batsmen did their job. We are a very good team, and we have worked very hard for this victory."

India's victory is their second ICC Champions Trophy title, and their third major ICC trophy win in the last four years. They have now won the World Cup, Champions Trophy, and World Twenty20 titles.
