Italiano Defeats Colo-Colo 3-1
In a thrilling encounter, Audax Italiano emerged victorious over Colo-Colo with a 3-1 score at the Estadio Monumental David Arellano. The match, which was played in front of a sold-out crowd, saw Italiano take an early lead through a goal from striker Nicolas Medina in the 25th minute. Colo-Colo equalized just before halftime with a goal from Leandro Benegas.
However, Italiano came out strong in the second half and regained the lead through a penalty converted by midfielder Gonzalo Abán in the 55th minute. They extended their advantage in the 80th minute when substitute Carlos Muñoz scored a stunning long-range goal.
Italiano Moves to Second Place
With this victory, Audax Italiano moved up to second place in the Primera División standings, three points behind leaders Unión Española. Colo-Colo, on the other hand, dropped to third place.
